Conference Proceeding: Climate and Development

Climate and Development Dialogue (C&D Dialogue) organized the ‘National Conference on Climate and Development: Climate Justice - Resilient Development’ on November 27, 2023, in Kathmandu, Nepal. The primary objective of the conference was to collaboratively articulate the demand for the integration of climate agendas into the 16^th Plan.

Workshop on "Addressing Loss and Damage

A workshop on “Addressing Loss and Damage” on 1^st September 2023 with the objective to share local, national, and global insights emerging around Loss and Damage and stimulate forward-looking policy conversations to assist Nepal in getting better prepared for climate-induced disasters. A diverse group of 28 participants, with 7 females, engaged in the discussion. 

Workshop Proceeding: Gender in GCF-funded projects in South Asian Countries

This is a regional learning and sharing workshop on Gender in GCF-funded projects in South Asian Countries held on 26th June, 2023 in Kathmandu, Nepal. The workshop aimed to foster a regional discourse about the ongoing GCF-funded projects by having national and international representatives of the projects, researchers and experts discuss their countries' undertakings and experiences and review how gender needs to be integrated into the ongoing climate solutions. 

Conference Report on Gender-Just Climate Solutions

This is the conference report on Gender-Just Climate Solutions: Building Urban and Rural Women’s Resilience to Climate Change organized by Climate and Development Dialogue on 28 December 2022 at Lalitpur. The event saw diverse and meaningful participation and attempted to build momentum among women, women groups, development organizations, and governmental institutions.

Proceeding Report: International Conference on 100% RE

This is the proceeding report of the International Conference on 100% RE organized by Prakriti Resources Centre (PRC) and World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Nepal along with the Alternative Energy Promotion Centre (AEPC) from 18–19 December 2022 in Kathmandu, Nepal. The conference aimed to share regional and international knowledge on the interrelationship between renewable energy and climate change and learn about implementing RE policies, plans, and projects.

National Conference On Localization Of Climate Actions

This report is the outcomes of the National Conference on Localization of Climate Actions: Bridging National Climate Change Policy and second NDC targets with local government plans and programs. This event was organized on 22 December 2021 in Lalitpur in order to scale up climate adaptation and mitigation actions at the local level and enhance the role of local governments in implementing those actions. 

Reflection Report 2019_Climate and Development Dialogue

C&D Dialogue has organized several capacity building events among its members and other stakeholders and engaged in key policy processes on climate change, namely National Climate Change Policy 2019, the 15th Plan and Second Nationally Determined Contribution of Nepal.The Dialogue has been constructively engaging in these policy process and continuously providing collective feedbacks in these processes. This report has covered the key activities of C&D Dialogue.  

National Conference of Practitioners on Climate Change: Linking Practices to Policy

Recognizing and building on the knowledge through the “doing” of the practitioners, C&D Dialogue organized a  conference on National Conference of Practitioners on Climate Change: Linking Practices to Policy on  November 22, 2019 in Kathmandu. The conference reflected on good practices in climate change work and thereby sought to influence policy and practice in Nepal and expand this knowledge internationally as well.

Women's Participation and Learning in Environment Friendly Development Initiatives

The project review and learning report is an outcome of the project ‘Increasing Women’s Influence in Local Governance for Gender and Climate Smart Plans and Programmes’ implemented by PRC. We would like to put on record our gratitude to Both Ends and GAGGA for their grant assistance for the project, and the women’s groups, whose commitment and effort led to the sucess of this project.
