Strengthening Capacity of GAGAA (Global Alliance for Green and Gender Action) Partner Organizations in Climate Finance Advocacy

International cooperation and multilateral initiatives, particularly through initiatives like the Green Climate Fund (GCF), plays a crucial role in supporting climate finance efforts in Asia. Asia Pacific region has the highest number of GCF funded projects. Many countries in Asia are strengthening policy and institutional frameworks to mobilize and utilize climate finance effectively. This includes establishing national climate finance mechanisms, integrating climate considerations into development planning and enhancing transparency and accountability in finance governance. Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) are instrumental in addressing gaps in climate finance by advocating for increased for increased funding, prompting transparency and accountability, supporting community-led initiatives and advancing inclusive and equitable approaches to climate actions.
Objective:
  • The project aims to support GAGGA (Global Alliance for Green and Gender Action) in advocating for increased climate finance for gender-just climate solution.
