Promoting Protection and Solidarity for Climate Migrants and Displaced Communities in South Asia


The project is implemented in cooperation with Climate Action Network South Asia (CANSA). This cooperation is based upon funding received as part of Bread for The World funded project named “'Promoting protection and solidarity for climate migrants and displaced communities in South Asia”.

Project Objectives:

  1. Research, formulate and advocate evidence-based inputs in national policies and regional frameworks that ensures protection for climate induced migrants,
  2. Advocate for stringent legal protection for women and children affected by climate-induced migration in South Asia.
  3. UNFCCC, IOM, Global Compact for Migration and other international forums and agreements create space for provision of finance to improve national policies to build adaptive capacities and rehabilitate climate affected communities.
