PRC will conduct research in its focal areas and widely disseminate findings through its publications, interactions, and mainstream and digital media. It will prioritize knowledge localization, translating global climate information including its own research findings into accessible formats for local communities and governments, thereby supporting informed decision-making. Emphasizing data-driven approaches, PRC will establish mechanisms for data collection and analysis, including in loss and damage, to inform evidence-based advocacy and policy decisions.
PRC will use its research findings and on-the-ground learning to inform and influence policy and decision-making at all levels. The focus will be on implementing and monitoring existing policies rather than creating new ones, working closely with sectoral ministries beyond the MoFE to achieve cross-sectoral impact. PRC will advocate for policies that support low-carbon development, and resilient and adaptive societies.
PRC will build the capacity, skills, and knowledge of its own staff, civil society allies, women, vulnerable communities, and policymakers. This includes continuous internal learning, leadership development, and enhancing municipal-level capacity for climate-smart programming.
PRC will strengthen its collaborations with civil society networks including I/NGOs, government at different levels, and the private sector to maximize the impact of its work. By fostering strategic partnerships with the mainstream media, academia within and outside the country and other well-rooted organizations based on reciprocal benefits, PRC will bridge the gap between global knowledge and local action, ensuring targeted interventions for the most vulnerable groups.
While maintaining its primary focus on policy intervention, PRC will mainstream service delivery as part of its regular interventions, and at times design and implement stand-alone projects to benefit those who need it most. It will ensure a balance between short-term benefits and long-term strategic goals, embedding gender equity and diversity with an intersectionality lens across all activities.
PRC will develop an effective communication strategy to document and disseminate the changes brought about by its work. This includes creating knowledge products, strengthening internal and external communication, and enhancing PRC’s public image through visibility in mainstream and social media, keeping its stakeholders and funding partners abreast of its work and impacts and, and opening up new windows of opportunities for productive collaborations.
PRC will actively engage in national and international processes. It will feed national experience and learning into the international process, contributing to global climate policy-making and bring international insights back to national and sub-national policy processes.
