‘MAP for 100% Renewable Energy’ envisions Nepal to achieve net zero emission by 2045 and sustainable and just transition to 100% renewable energy by 2050. MAP platform engages government agencies, civil society organizations, private sectors, bank and financial institutions, academicians and research institutions, media, development agencies and other stakeholders committed to work and advance the agenda of renewable energy and climate change in Nepal. This platform consists of 45 organizations and experts committed on mutual learning and sharing. To achieve its vision, the MAP works collectively to attain the following objectives. 

  • Facilitate discourse on energy transition into RE mix in Nepal (energy generation and distribution) 
  • Promote use of RE in every possible sector and level including household (End use of energy) 
  • Advocacy on decentralization of energy system and support local level strengthening 
  • Constructively engage with government on major policy agendas on renewable energy and climate change for sustainability and resilience. 
  • Provide a platform for members for mutual learning and sharing.
